Event overview
For the 5th year running, we return to London’s Southbank Centre for our PureGold launch. Join us for some or all of the event. Discover the future of music at the PureGold festival.
Join us for over 5 hours of music across two stages, featuring bands and singer-songwriters, choral and piano works, jazz, multi-keyboards and sitar, cutting edge digital manipulation and new instrument devices, plus up-and-coming artists currently featured on the NX Records mixtape.
The PureGold Festival builds on the musical successes that Goldsmiths alumni have enjoyed in recent years – including a Mercury Prize for James Blake, a chart-topping album for Katy B and an Olivier Award for War Horse and Curious Incident composer Adrian Sutton. This year the festival launches at Southbank Centre's Clore Ballroom in the Royal Festival Hall, from 4pm.
Discover the future of music at the 2016 PureGold festival.
Previous artists and musicians who have performed at the PureGold festival include: Ultraísta vocalist FEMME, two of The Guardian's bands of the day, Bat and Ball and Semi Precious.
PureGold events continue from May to July at The Albany (Deptford) and on the Goldsmiths campus in New Cross, south east London.
PureGold forms part of a summer of Goldsmiths Degree Shows across the capital, including exhibitions and shows from the Departments of Art, Theatre and Performance, and Design.
