Following on from their morning masterclass with composer Graham Fitkin, the Goldsmiths Keyboard Collective perform an all-Fitkin programme
Led by pianist Paul Cassidy, this Rush-Hour Concert by the Goldsmiths Keyboard Collective follows on from the on from their morning masterclass with composer Graham Fitkin. They perform an all-Fitkin programme for multiple keyboards, featuring the works Totti, Aract, Flak, Sciosophy and Relent, plus early solo work The Cone Gatherers, performed by Paul Cassidy.
Graham Fitkin is a composer working from Cornwall. He has worked with musicians such as Yo-Yo Ma, Kathryn Stott, Will Gregory, Sacconi Quartet, BBC Orchestras, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, NYCB etc. Although he is interested in immediacy in his music, he is concerned with clarity, time, pacing and finding interesting structures within music.
