Flute and piano duo present this lunchtime recital of English and French music, for flute and piano & piano four hands.
Lin Lin (flute / piano) and Gen Li (piano) perform a programme of English and French music, for flute and piano & piano four hands. It also includes a new composition relates to Chinese culture written by English composer Alex McGery, for flute and piano.
The up and coming and multi award-winning Chinese concert musician Lin Lin is a talented and skilled performer in both flute and piano. She is described as an ‘exceptional musician, a phenomenal flute player and a wonderfully gifted pianist' by British conductor Jonathan Tilbrook, and a 'very fine and creative musician' by composer Peter Wiegold. Lin has established herself as one of the most exciting young musicians of today by giving a large number of solo and chamber recitals in major concert halls and music festivals throughout Europe and Asia.
Hosted by the Department of Music at Goldsmiths, this series of concerts gives students, staff and visiting performers an opportunity to perform their work in the grand surroundings of the recently refurbished Council Chamber in Deptford Town Hall. The performance is open to all staff and students at Goldsmiths, as well as members of the public.
