Event overview
Cheng will perform J S Bach Partita in D minor at 6.45pm, followed by Lacloche (violin) & Moreira (piano) with a programme of Villa Lobos, Prokofiev & Piazzolla.
As part of the Department of Music's PureGold season, we present this early evening recital of violin and piano music.
Programme:
HEITOR VILLA-LOBOS: Carnaval das crianças, W157 (Children's Carnival), for piano solo
ASTOR PIAZZOLLA: History of the Tango - Café 1930, for piano and violin
PROKOFIEV: 5 Melodies, op. 35, for piano and violin
Hosted by the Department of Music at Goldsmiths, this series of concerts gives students an opportunity to perform their work in the grand surroundings of the recently refurbished Council Chamber in Deptford Town Hall. The performance is open to all staff and students at Goldsmiths, as well as members of the public.
