Many jobs pay the National Living Wage or higher. All pay/hours are clearly advertised, meaning there’s no chance of a surprise after going through a lengthy application process.

International students
If you are a full-time student at a degree level or above, you can work for 20 hours per week.
Full-time students at Foundation level are usually only allowed to work for a maximum of 10 hours per week.
If you’re unsure about the number of hours you’re allowed to work or whether you’re allowed to work in the UK, we recommend clarifying this before applying for jobs.
During semester breaks, full-time international students are usually allowed to work for 40 hours a week.
International students are not able to work in a freelance capacity.

Other ways to earn money
Learn what a side hustle is and how to make it work while at uni.
Earn some cash and develop career skills while you study. For instance it could be things like, teaching piano or selling on Etsy, pet and house sitting.

Local retail
There are opportunities in local retail centres where there are plenty of part-time jobs in bars, coffee shops and restaurants. In the run-up to Christmas, in particular, many shops and stores hire additional temporary, staff.
