Subject to Validation programmes
Programme development at Goldsmiths is a two-part process. The first stage provides strategic approval and the second develops the academic content of new programmes.
Primary page content
"Subject to Validation" means that a programme is in the second stage of development and that we are still finalising some of the details as part of our standard process. This may include details relating to scheduled learning and teaching activities, contact hours, programme content, assessment methods, and other matters relevant to the programme itself. The approval process involves academic staff, students, and independent subject experts, to ensure that programmes developed are of high quality and that they adequately prepare students for employment and further study.
Most of the time these are approved, but we cannot guarantee this.
Should the programme not go ahead, the admissions team will contact you as soon as possible to provide guidance and assistance in finding a suitable alternative programme of study, either at Goldsmiths or elsewhere.
You can also receive an email update on the status of this programme by adding it as your programme of interest when ordering a prospectus.
Students who need a Tier 4 Visa to study in the UK will not be issued with a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) statement until the programme has been approved.
