Charlie's diverse practice explores community, participation and the supernatural, often through ceramics.

As a hopeful agnostic, Charlie is interested in the ritualised experience of religious and supernatural belief. His research stems from an observed yearning within the godless for ceremony, ritual and experience, for the ability to escape the mundane, explore the world, and outsource decisions. He has come to define this area of practice as Corpo-Spiritual - the bodily experience of activities or objects which use vernacular of the supernatural, but do not emerge from belief. He is neither sceptic, nor religious, maintaining the unknowable nature of the supernatural whilst exploring its future.
