Course overview
Our programmes take on board what the industry tells us: that while they seek well-rounded and multi-talented new recruits to the business, they also value and respect specialised learning. We will supply this via highly qualified, industry-active and award-winning staff and guest lecturers.
The MA Filmmaking programmes provide a unique set of opportunities to produce films in a creative atmosphere as part of the world-renowned Department of Media, Communications and Cultural Studies. Students will be part of the Department’s diverse, vibrant community, and be part of media debates and discussions of current issues.
The MA Filmmaking and MA Script Writing programmes include exciting option modules during which students can explore script and project development, visual storytelling, writing for TV drama, understanding the UK media industries, practical law for film and television, and social activist filmmaking.
Students and graduates from these programmes go on to work in every area of the film and television industry and are respected around the world. Studying at Goldsmiths will teach you to collaborate, push boundaries, and think critically and creatively about filmmaking.
