Laura is a documentary film consultant and lecturer teaching at Goldsmiths since 2016

Laura began her career in broadcast television production in Brazil, where she contributed to national news, talk shows, and documentaries for major networks. In London Laura has worked in diverse roles across a range of projects for BBC, Amazon Prime and Waterbear, producing videos for NGOs, and directing her own award-winning shorts, including Land of the Wind.

As a film consultant, Laura has contributed to several acclaimed documentaries, including Eliza Capai’s Incompatible with Life (2023), Coraci Ruiz & Julio Morais’ Campinas Trans Trilogy (2024), and many academic film projects.

Since 2016, Laura has taught documentary filmmaking at Goldsmiths at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She currently co-convenes the MA in Screen Documentary and the BA in Media and Communications within the MCCS department.

Her research interests include best practices in documentary consultancy and audiovisual interpretations of psychedelic psychotherapy.
