The first graduates of validation partnership between Goldsmiths, University of London and Nordoff Robbins have received the Master of Music Therapy, awarded by Goldsmiths.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony held at Nordoff Robbins' centre in North London, Professor Jane Powell said:
"Goldsmiths is not only delighted but privileged to be partnering with Nordoff Robbins in the delivery of postgraduate music therapy programmes. The programmes reflect and are informed by Nordoff Robbins' international reputation for the high quality of its music therapy practice and the research activity which underpins it."
Goldsmiths' partnership with Nordoff Robbins involves the validation of the Master of Music Therapy and Nordoff Robbins' research degrees, delivered across Nordoff Robbins' teaching bases in London and Manchester.
The partnership will also lead to collaborative teaching, learning and research opportunities for Goldsmiths' staff and students through a programme of activities led by the Collaborative Provision team and STaCS.
Nordoff Robbins' alumni now join Goldsmiths' community of over 50,000 former students and staff and will be able to network and share experience through the online platform Goldsmiths Connect and at events held in the UK and around the world.
