Developing invaluable skills

I studied BA English at Goldsmiths between 2017 - 2020 and I can quite easily say it changed my life.

The breadth of literature we explored on the course not only gave me a significant source of knowledge to draw from; but also equipped me with invaluable skills. Skills such as critical thinking ability, the ability to accurately and sophisticatedly analyse a text and the ability to articulate my arguments well.

I found the the Department of English and Creative Writing to be welcoming and encouraging.

Life after Goldsmiths

I am now a PhD student. I particularly like the flexibility that comes along with being a PhD student; both in the choosing of your research and how you choose to allocate your time.

Advice for future students

Do it!

Really take the time to immerse yourself in the university, whether that be making frequent trips to campus, or taking part in extracurricular activities. Also, dedicate time for further reading in your subject - it really does help.

And, lastly, have faith in yourself, you can do it!
