I have no doubt that the BA Arts Management course played a large role in my ability to find a job so quickly
I work for Royal Museums Greenwich, which operates four sites (the National Maritime Museum, Royal Observatory, Queens House, and Cutty Sark) that are part of the Maritime Greenwich UNESCO World Heritage site. My department is responsible for all the bookings that come through, from education programmes to special exhibitions, as well as dealing with all the general enquiries that are sent to the organisation.
I have no doubt that the BA Arts Management course played a large role in my ability to find a job so quickly after graduation. The balance between practical and theoretical modules in the course provided a well-rounded learning experience, and I have already put the skills and knowledge gathered from my time at Goldsmiths to use. I particularly enjoyed the professional practice modules, where students could gain useful work experience while being supported by the university. I also appreciated being able to select some of my own modules, allowing me to have the freedom to integrate some of my personal interests with the course.
I believe this course prepares you well for a career in the arts, but what I value most is that it does not limit you to any particular one. I appreciate having a skill set that can be adaptable to a number of professions in the field.
