I couldn't recommend the course enough, it's a very different university experience, there is nothing like it.

Arriving at Goldsmiths

When I first applied for the course, I was worried I wouldn’t get accepted due to my GCSE results being quite low, however, due to my experience as well as the courses I did in college. I was accepted and I couldn’t be any happier.

A unique university experience

From the moment I started the course I loved every minute of it. From the group work to the guest lectures to practising the theory we studied. There was so much to cover but it has helped me see the world through the eyes of the young people and the community we served. I understood the role I played in society.

Life after Goldsmiths

Since graduating, I have worked in various roles in and around supporting young people within the NHS, local authorities, children in care charities, the Home Office and now the Department of Education. My current role involves working behind the scenes on policy regarding young people.

Advice for future students

Don’t expect it to be similar to other degrees because it is not. It was a very intimate experience, filled with so much conversation regarding what we study and group work to understand how society works on a deeper level.

Arrive with an open mind and stay with an open mind until the end.
