At Goldsmiths the study of politics goes beyond voting systems, parliaments and the conventional arenas of power.

My history degree helped me develop skills in research, analysis and has also given me practical experience.

Innovative and different

Whichever subject you choose - expect to be challenged. At Goldsmiths you’ll be inspired to develop fresh ideas and new approaches to your studies.

We champion degrees that provoke thought and stretch the imagination. That’s why so many of our former students are leading the way in reshaping the sociocultural landscape on a global scale.

World-class reputation

As part of the University of London for 120 years, we have a rich academic heritage, but we’re constantly questioning, challenging and building on what we know, such as offering ground-breaking Masters courses in Black British History and Queer History.

We also have several subject areas in the world’s elite according to the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024, and almost 80% of the research undertaken at Goldsmiths was 4* or 3* - the highest level possible.

Employability

Our dedicated careers service, placement opportunities and contemporary courses mean you’ll graduate with the skills and knowledge to succeed in your future career.

Eight out of 10 of Goldsmiths students go into highly skilled work or further study after they graduate, above the national average. (Graduate Outcomes Survey 2022).

Inspiring location

We're proud to be in vibrant south-east London, and our friendly single-site campus is the perfect base to explore all that the capital has to offer.

Our events, societies and sports teams mean that whatever you're into, you're bound to find your place in our welcoming academic community.

The staff in the anthropology department were very friendly and helpful, and they created their modules around the students.
