Find all of the key dates and events you need to know as an undergraduate offer holder.

29 January 2025: Main UCAS application deadline
This is the date you must get your application, with reference, in for the majority of university places (although dentistry and medicine and Oxbridge applications to UCAS closed in October). Applications after this date may still be considered, depending on the places available.
26 February 2025: UCAS Extra opens
If you were unsuccessful with your applications to your five choices or decline your offers you can use UCAS Extra. You can find out more about UCAS Extra on the UCAS website.
4 June 2025: Decision day if you received all your offers by 14 May
By this day you’ll need to narrow down your shortlist of five universities to two – your Firm (first choice) and Insurance (back-up) choice – if you had all your responses by 14 May.
30 June 2025: Final day to make an application to five universities
This is the end of the regular application process for higher education. After 6pm on this day you must apply through Clearing.
5 July 2025: Clearing opens
From this date until 20 October, you can apply to an institution through Clearing, as long as you are not holding an offer of a place at another university.
23 July 2025: Decision day if you received all your offers by 17 July
This is your last chance to accept offers from one of your choices of university.
August 2025: Many scholarships open for applications

5 August 2025: SQA Results Day
14 August 2025: A-Level Results Day
31 August 2025: You must meet any conditions of your offer
If you were given a conditional offer by a university, you must meet them by the end of August, or your offer may be withdrawn.
