Programme changes for 2021–22

We needed to make some changes to how programmes were delivered in 2021/22 to reflect necessary response to the ongoing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in the UK.

We made these temporary changes in line with the Government’s Higher education COVID-19 operational guidance, updated 19 July 2021, to ensure students and staff remain safe on campus and that we continue to ensure the quality of your learning experience.

From the Autumn term 2021 teaching was delivered through in-person sessions, with principally teacher-focussed sessions being pre-recorded and made available to you online.  In some instances, where taught sessions were delivered by a third party, alternative arrangements were made that may have meant some sessions were delivered online or through a combination of in-person and online delivery.  In some instances, we also needed to change the way in which you were assessed on your programme.  All programme changes were subject to careful scrutiny through our quality assurance processes.

It may be necessary for the College to make further changes during the 2022/23 academic year if there are changes to public health guidance in England because of the Covid-19 pandemic.  For example, in-person teaching may need to move online in response to changing health advice. If this is necessary, you will be informed of what this means for your programme of study at the time the UK government makes any changes to its published guidance.
