Katerina Karamallaki graduated from a BA course in Graphic Design in 2006 specialising in illustration and is currently living in London. Her interest in design research and philosophy led her to study on the MA Critical Practice course at Goldsmiths, where she has been introduced further to design theory and new technologies. Special areas of interest throughout the year have been the externalization of the mind as well as the prosthetic element and augmentation of the body. Her current work combines research from various areas and a specific interest in human-domestic pet relationship to produce a body of work, including illustrations, objects, written work and film, which highlight complicated situations and perverse relationships in the domestic environment. |
