Mark Selby studied Three Dimensional Design where he developed practical skills and an interest in materials. Whilst studying MA Design – Critical Practice at Goldsmiths this interest has become informed by socio-cultural theory and investigation.
His research has been concerned with our everyday interactions with mundane objects and spaces. The questions behind these investigations are how can design be used to re-configure our perception of everyday interactions? And how, by enabling more creative and individual interpretations of these interactions the opportunity for more significant everyday experiences can be created?
